Group Transportation | How to choose the best group transportation company?

The best group transportation company is the one that you own. Because in your company you make and follow your own rules. Every transportation company has its own do's and don'ts. So if you are transporting too many people too often, then its time to buy a good bus and transport your group with no string attached. For example, companies have fixed hours of operations, so if your group wants to go out camping on a weekend then they will have to arrange their own private vehicles, which takes away the fun of traveling together in a group. Even if the company offers its vehicle for overnight rides, the prices will be too much to afford. Once again, a one time trip maybe affordable but when people get the hang of traveling and camping together in a group, they often want more and more of it. If your group plans to gather every week, then hiring a bus service is definitely not a good option. On average the cost of renting a 15 passenger minibus is approximately $120/hour. Hiring a small bus for an entire day can be as high as $1,200 to $1,500. This is not a financially viable option, if it has to be done religiously for more than 50 weekends in a year. Churches are the perfect example. their members need to gather every Sunday, if they hire a bus every weekend, it will burn a huge hole in their pockets, hence most churches prefer to buy a second hand bus rather than hire them. This is how every church takes care of its own transportation requirement.

It all depends on how big the group is and how often they have to travel. If a construction company needs to frequently transport employees from the head quarters to the construction site, then they need to arrange their own transportation because hiring a bus service every day is not financially beneficial. Similar, many other groups of people need to make arrangements for their own transportation, like casino members, college students, sports team members, senior centers, adult day cares etc. Everybody owns a car and its not difficult to transport a group of 15 people. However, this is not efficient because ferrying 15 people will need 4 cars, considering each has a seating capacity of 4 people. Each needs to have its own dedicated driver, regular maintenance, parking, insurance coverage. Its obviously not the best option. Moreover, group members dont get the opportunity to bond together while en route to their common destination. The cars add more vehicles on the road and are not eco friendly because they all release more carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides than a single vehicle. There are chances that they all may not reach their destination on time, some may get stuck in traffic while others may come across an accident, need refueling, emergency repairs, get pulled over by cops for breaking traffic rules etc and thus delay the function or programme by several minutes or even hours. Most adults are already preoccupied by their families or jobs and have a limited time to dedicate for their respective groups. If this limited time is spent on non-productive tasks like arranging transportation and delays then the organizers seriously need to consider having their own vehicles like a bus for more organized and efficient travelling.

By now, we have realized the importance of owning a bus for frequent group meetings. There is general perception that buses are big and expensive but the fact is, they are really cheap when purchased preowned. They value can drop by more than half with one previous owner and the vehicle still has enough life to operate for more than 5 years or 100,000 miles. On average a used minibus for sale can cost anywhere from $15,000 to $35,000 depending on a lot of factors like tire conditions, type of licensing, engine, transmission, seating capacity, luggage compartments, luxury and safety features etc. Buying a bus for group transportation has never been so easy. Most dealerships will even get you financed in-house or by 3rd parties on their reduced price tags, thus making bus ownership a reality even for startups and those with limited budgets.

If you will be purchasing a used bus for sale for the first time, then its better to get started with the smallest of them. This will give you the knowledge and experience of buying, owning, managing, maintaining and operating the vehicle. Then six months or one year down the road, this vehicle can be resold to the dealership at a reasonable price and used medium sized bus can be purchased to transport medium sized groups of 16 to 29 passengers. Once you feel confident enough with buses that's the time to purchase a full sized coach bus for your own transportation company.

Bus dealerships are life time partners of bus owners. When owning them, there will be times when an expert will be required for second opinion, better judgement or sincere advise. Dealers are the people who have been working full time with buses for several decades, they will be glad to help their customers throughout the ownership process. They assist their customers before as well as after the ownership process. For example, they help customers get financed and insured before they own the vehicle and buy it back when no longer needed. There are people who spend several months and years trying to find the perfect buyer for their buses and in the mean while the vehicle will be gathering dust, rust etc sitting idle inside  a garage or by the side on a road. But in the case of a dealership, just pickup the phone and ask them to tow the vehicle away and they will do it in less than a week at a reasonable price provided it was well maintained on regular schedules.

Bottom-line: The best company is your own company. Simply buy a small bus for sale and get into the transportation business today. The American Bus Association has reported tremendous growth potential for bus transportation in areas that lack public transportation. This is the perfect opportunity to start a new company ferrying people from location to destination and get paid within a few minutes. There is a lot of information available online on how to start a travel company? You can learn the tips and tricks buy reading more and more on the topic, however a minibus will be required to get started and take the first step towards starting a successful business. Buy this short bus for sale from a reputed dealership to have a backup throughout the ownership journey. Private individuals disappear after the transaction is complete, however full time, licensed and reputable dealerships stand by their customers throughout the ownership cycle. They even provide spare parts or information from where to source them in case of an emergency, but private individuals are simply out of sight after the transaction has been completed.

Keeping these benefits in mind, one can buy a second hand shuttle bus for sale by searching for dealerships online or from Major Vehicle Exchange. Keep in mind that dealers are not available everywhere. There are buyers who are constantly searching for them in their home state but chances are high that they will be available in neighboring states and the vehicle will have to imported and shipped to your location. Group Transportation | Call 516-333-7483 | Why every group need dedicated transportation?

It depends on how dynamic the group is? What was the purpose for people to come together and form this organization? How far do they have to travel to fulfill their purpose? This distance, decides if they need a dedicated means of transportation or if they could rely on public transit. In human societies people come together for various reasons thus forming a team. To keep the enthusiasm and morale high, the organizers have to find a dedicated means of traveling depending on how often they meet. For example, Christians from different walks of life come together and gather inside a Church every Sunday thus making a religious organization. Every church wants its members to be punctual and present for the prayers and other religious services. As a result the church leadership offers a bus pickup and drop to its congregation members. This bus operates once a week with the sole purpose of picking up and dropping off devotees to and from the church throughout the day on weekends. Other groups have similar purpose and requirements. For example a construction company may have to frequently transport its employees from its head quarters to the construction site. If they let employees travel by themselves, then punctuality will be a big concern, some might get caught up in traffic, few others may encounter some minor or major accidents and a list of other reasons. To ensure discipline, the church as well as the construction company purchase a minibus for sale to transport their members and employees.

Similarly, tourists from all over the world travel to a particular country to explore its culture and traditions. They go sight seeing and visit places of attractions. Doing so they automatically form a group of foreigners ready to travel together across the host country's popular cities. In order to make the journey easy and affordable the government of the host country organizes several modes of transportation in the form of taxi services, tour bus services, railways etc. But traveling by bus is one of the favorite options of all tourists especially those from western countries. They feel cozy and comfortable in their air conditioned tour buses and even enjoy the companionship of fellow tourists from other countries. Because they all have the same purpose, that is to go sight seeing and explore their host country at an affordable price.

Transport is not needed if activities are limited to a particular neighborhood. But when its activities span across several blocks to neighboring areas, then a dedicated vehicle is needed to reduce the walking time of members, to ensure their attendance and punctuality, to keep members interested in activities, to prevent them from losing interest. Everybody like the idea of traveling together with fellow members as it increases their rate of engagement, bond and cohesion with fellow members. Many Americans love the idea to visit a Casino during their weekends, instead of traveling individually, they expect their Casino to offer a bus that will pickup other members too, thus enjoying the entire trip from their homes to the Casino and back.

Every organization of people needs a dedicated vehicle if it has members who are seniors and disabled. Seniors have problems with mobility, they fear driving in the dark and overcrowded public transit system, many suffer from cataracts and cant see clearly, as a result they prefer staying at home rather than traveling. To ensure their attendance, they have to be offered a dedicated bus service. A church is the perfect example. It has senior members and the church bus does a great job in helping them visit the church to participate in prayers and other religious activities. Same goes with disabled people. Their mobility is limited due to a birth defect, injury or accident. Even they prefer staying at home rather than ride a private vehicle or take the crowded public transport. To ensure their attendance, they too need a dedicated bus service otherwise they will neither participate nor contribute to the objectives of the organization.

Its difficult to imagine an organization which does not has a dedicated transportation, especially if they have to meet frequently or travel long distances. Startup organizations may not have a dedicated vehicle but they should look forward to buy one as soon as possible because they could start losing members in the long run. Transportation is in fact one of the biggest hurdles to the growth of a team of people. With the passage of time members will start losing interest. Moreover, people have families and full time jobs to look after. They can merely spend 1, 2 or 3 hours a week for their groups. The organizers should make sure this limited time is directly or indirectly utilized to its maximum potential. For example, if a member spends 30 minutes traveling in one direction to attend a function, then he or she wastes one hour of their limited time in traveling. If the team has 100 members each spending up to an hour in traveling, then collectively they have lost 100 hours that could otherwise be utilized in the groups service. Organizers should think of ways to optimize this wasted time for their benefit either directly or indirectly. For example, the idea of making members travel together with other members in a bus may not seem beneficial, however it does benefit in the long term as it increases members bonding and cohesion with fellow members. Instead of listening to popular music and watching television during transit, they can be encouraged to sing songs dedicated to the tasks and objectives they have undertaken. The simple act of singing songs will indoctrinate members and force them to think about the groups objectives in their free time and come up with innovative ways to help it achieve its goals. The increased participation and brotherhood between members will prevent attrition, they will stick longer for years becoming eligible to lead new members, thus increasing the overall size and effectiveness of the organization. The increased size will bring in more members, donations, eliminate hurdles and ease the path to achieving goals. Thus becoming a successful group rather than being dormant.

Every group needs a vehicle that is designed for ferrying several people together. A car is limited to 4 passengers. If there are more than 4 members then organizers will have to roll in more cars which is neither efficient nor economical. This is when buses come into the picture. There is a general perception that buses are huge and cumbersome, difficult to buy, park, ride, maintain and manage. However, this is far from the truth. The problem is that one thinks of full sized coach buses when thinking about a bus. There are smaller version of buses too, which are often called as shuttle bus, small bus, minibus, short bus etc. These vehicles can seat up to 15 passengers in a single trip and dont need a commercial license because of their small size. Thus they are extremely popular for small group transportation. They are affordable to buy, easy to park and can be driven with a regular license. The small size makes regular maintenance and management a breeze.

One should remember that a short bus for sale, though being smaller in size and affordable in price is still bigger than a car and cost more to purchase. Used buses for sale are far more cheaper than their new counterparts. As a result more and more organizations and groups of people are opting to buy used buses. These vehicles have defects just like any other preowned vehicle but after reconditioning they become fully functional with reduced wear and tear. These reconditioned second hand buses can be purchased from $10,000 to $45,000 depending on their features and functionalities. Startup groups with limited budgets may find this price bracket expensive, hence there are several financial institutions that are ready to help buy a used bus at low and attractive interest rates. The approval rate is high even if buyers have low or average credit ratings. Due to these facilities, the sale of used buses has sky rocketed in recent years. There is a tonne of money to be made in the transportation industry with used buses. Startup entrepreneurs search for opportunities in areas that lack public transportation and deploy their used buses to move people around over small distance and make money almost instantly in no time.

If your church, group, organizations, college, sports team, hotel, company or any other entity needs a vehicle to transport several people together frequently or over long distance then they definitely need to check out our website with more than 42 used buses in stock that are ready to delivered anywhere across the USA immediately. Every vehicle is fully reconditioned from bumper to bumper so you can be rest assured they have no electrical or mechanical defects. Short list all the buses that may interest you and give us a call at 516-333-7483 during normal business hours and we will be glad to assist you further.

Used buses for sale | When a speedy bus stops suddenly, why does it slip a bit forward?

There are two reasons why a bus may skid on the roads, firstly due to high speed and secondly, when the friction between the tire and the road has been reduced due to oil leakages from other vehicles, natural weather conditions like snow or due to wear and tear of the tires. Lets discuss every possibility separately;

Skidding due to high speed:

Buses are of 3 types, mini, midi and coaches. The minibuses seat up to 15 passengers, midi has 16 to 29 seats and coaches can comfortably seat up to 60 people. Irrespective of their size, every bus weighs more than a tonne i.e. more than 1000 kgs or 2200 lbs. For example the average weight of a minibus can be between 3 to 5 tonnes, depending of the number of features and equipment in the vehicle. Midi and coaches will obviously weigh more due to their larger size. Moreover, 15 passengers can easily add another ton of weight to the bus with their luggage included. The total weight of a fully occupied minibus can go up to 6 tonnes.

Lets, re-imagine the bus as a rectangular box that weighs approximately 6 tonnes. If this box had 4 tires and was speeding down the highway, then its weight would start gathering momentum due to the gravitational pull of the earth. To understand this concept, you need to understand the difference between potential energy and kinetic energy. When a bus is stationary, it has the potential to move forward even when its not moving forward, this is called as potential energy. When the engine is turned on and the bus physically starts moving forward, then its potential energy is converted into kinetic energy. As the speed increases, its kinetic energy increases too.

This is the mathematical formula to calculate the kinetic energy of a moving bus.

Kinetic Energy = 1/2 x M x V x V

where, M = mass or weight

            V = speed of velocity

So when this huge rectangular box of 6 tonnes, starts moving on the road at high speeds, its kinetic energy keeps increasing. An increase in the value of V(speed or velocity) automatically increases the overall kinetic energy of the vehicle. Its impossible to stop such a huge load of mass with tremendous kinetic energy almost immediately. Because as the box gathers speed, its entire body weight gathers momentum in the forward direction. As the speed keeps increasing, the rectangular box acquires more and more kinetic energy and becomes a force that is moving in the forward direction. This force is pushing the entire bus, its passengers, equipment and luggage in the forward direction. Everything and everybody inside the bus is being pushed in the forward direction by this force. Anything smaller in size and lighter in weight that blocks the forward path of this force will get crushed and go straight under the bus. So when you apply brakes suddenly, even when the tires have stopped rolling, the bus will continue to move in the forward direction until its acquired energies have been exhausted and the pushing force has disappeared. When the energy(kinetic) is reduce to zero, the forward pushing force will automatically be reduced to zero. Its important to make the kinetic energy zero to halt the bus. From the above formula we know that kinetic energy is the product of mass and velocity. In simpler terms a product of weight and speed. The weight cannot be reduced to zero, hence the speed should be reduced to zero to halt the bus, which can be achieved by applying brakes and turning off the engine.

Now we come to the answer of the question. The V also called as speed has to be reduced to zero the kinetic energy of the bus. When this happens the bus will halt. But there is no way to reduce the speed from 80 miles per hour to zero almost instantly. When the brakes are applied the speed will gradually decrease from 80 to 70 then 60, 50, 40, 25, 12, 5 miles per hour and then finally to zero. So even when the tires have stopped rolling, it is the speed that is taking time to come down to zero. Speed has a natural tendency to come down gradually, not instantly. When the speed is reduce to zero its kinetic energy will become zero too and the forward pushing force will disappear, thus stopping the bus. For example, when the bus is operating at a top speed of 80 miles per hour, its kinetic energy according to the above formula will be approximately 19,200 Kilo Joules(KJ). As the speed reduces gradually from 80 miles per hour towards 0, its kinetic energy or acquired energy too reduces from 19,200 KJ towards 0.

The time taken by speed to gradually reduce to 0, determines the time its kinetic energies will take to get exhausted. They in turn determine how long the forward pushing force will take to completely disappear. So if the speed takes 4 seconds to be reduced to 0 from 80. Then the kinetic energy will also take 4 seconds to be reduced to 0. And the forward pushing force too will take 4 seconds to completely disappear. Thus, when the brakes are applied, the bus will continue to skid forward for 4 seconds until its speed and energy is 0.

The above figures are for explanation purposes only, in reality they can vary drastically. Bus drivers are trained to drive the vehicle within safe limits so that they can be stopped instantly. When the bus is riding at speeds within safety limits, it stops almost instantly but they skid only when the safe speed limits have been breached and increased.

Skidding due to spilled oil and natural weather conditions:

Bus tires are designed in a way that they stick to the roads. Friction causes the tires to stick to the roads. When the amount of friction is lowered than the normal amount, the bus starts to skid. This can be due to foreign substances coming between the tire and the road. Some of the most common substances that reduces this friction is oil spilled by other vehicles, snow, dust, mud etc. The driver should be careful and reduce the vehicles speed to make sure it does not skid. Because skidding can cause accidents and be injurious to passengers on board as well as pedestrians and other road users.

Worn out Tires and hydroplaning:

People may think water is not harmful to vehicle drivers. This may be true to a certain extent but if the tires are worn out then even water becomes dangerous for the vehicle. So, what are worn out tires? Tires are specially designed to have gaps or channels on them. These gaps are called as treads which tend to wear out over a period of time. The primary purpose of these treads to help the tire maintain a firm grip on the road. They even push water way thus maintaining constant contact with the road. When these treads get worn out, they are not able to push water away and let it come between the tire and the road, this phenomenon is called as hydroplaning and can be dangerous to safety of the vehicle. Chances are high the bus might start skidding in this case because of the lowered friction with the road. Bus and other vehicle owners are advised to check their tires every month to make sure they are safe for driving. Almost 26% of vehicle accidents in the USA are attributed to smooth and worn out tires.

Many people buy used buses for sale to meet their personal and organization group transportation requirements. They prefer second hand buses over their newer counter parts because they are affordable to purchase. The used bus market has been growing by leaps and bounds in the USA recently. But, people should remember that used buses have been on the road for up to a decade. These vehicles have already gone through a lot of wear and tear and so have their tires. Failure in this part of the bus can potentially cause loss of life and injury to people on board and those on the road. Buyers should always opt to purchase fully reconditioned used buses for sale rather than those that are being sold as is by one time sellers. This ensures the bus is in top condition and ready to hit the road once again. Purchasers dont have to go through the tedious task of fixing a bus after the transaction is complete. With reconditioned used buses, they can start driving immediate once the vehicle has been delivered to their site. Moreover, if they buy a 15 seater bus for sale then they can use it with a regular license because commercial license is not required to operate a small bus.

Used buses for sale | 516-333-7483 | What to look for when buying used buses???

Used buses for sale are extremely important when it comes to group transportation. These buses can accommodate more passengers than a taxi and less than a full sized coach bus. The ideal bus to look for when you want to transport 15 to 20 passengers is a minibus. Minibusses for sale are also called as short buses or small buses. This is due to their relatively small size. With buses, size matters. And it matter a lot. For example a small bus will require small parking space, whereas a coach bus will require more space. Short buses for sale are affordable compared to large passenger buses for sale. Small buses are easier to maneuver than big buses. Since small buses are cheaper, you pay less premiums on insurance and lesser registration fee. You see size makes a hell lot of difference with used buses for sale.

When you buy a used bus, you need to remember a few key points. It has gone through a lot of wear and tear. It has clocked thousands of miles on its odometer. It has defective mechanical and electrical equipment's. Every used bus for sale in the market is guaranteed to have these problems. Seller's usually lure potential buyers by listing their buses for sale at a very cheap price. Seller's also lure buyer by repainting their wrecked buses and changing its seats. This gives the bus a new look. And an excuse to the sellers to label their used buses as reconditioned or refurbished. Buyers need to be aware and cautious of these traps. If you buy such used buses then you will have to spend extra money to fix it. The downtime will take a toll on your business. The bus will be sitting idle in the repair shop and you will be out of business until its fixed. Frequent break downs will harm your business reputation and burn a huge hole in your pocket. Why go through all this mess ?? Wouldn't it be better if you can buy a secondhand bus that is just like a new bus, has no electrical and mechanical defects, is certified ready to hit the road, is inspected by certified technicians from the department of transportation, has more than 1000 parts checked, inspected, repaired and replaced. If you answer is a big YES, then you need to buy used buses for sale from Major Vehicle Exchange.

Major Vehicle Exchange is a licensed and bonded used bus dealership. They have been in the business of buying preowned buses for sale, reconditioning them from bumper to bumper and selling them to private individuals, businesses and organizations. They have been in this business of buying and selling used buses for more than 35 years. And know the ins and outs of used buses. With thousands of satisfied client's, Major Vehicle Exchange is a pioneer in the used buses for sale industry. Buying a used bus is like an investment. And your investments are secure in the hands of Major Vehicle Exchange. A used bus that you buy from this company will neither break down nor throw up unexpected catastrophic repairs. Many transportation businesses and Church ministries have increased their bus fleet by being our repeated customers.

There are several benefits of buying used buses for sale compared to a new bus:
1. Affordability: New buses for sale are extremely expensive. They can potentially break your bank. A new bus can cost up to $100,000. Whereas a used bus for sale that has been reconditioned from bumper to bumper can cost up to $25,000. The cost of a new or used bus depends on its size and seating capacity. Bigger the bus, higher is the price. Smaller the bus, lesser is the price.
2. Customization: Used buses for sale are easy to customize. This is a luxury that you cannot get from new buses. You can add or remove any parts and equipment on a used bus. However you cannot do this with new buses. Will you modify a brand new bus after paying $100,000 to own it ??? The answer is a big NO. Nobody will ever think of doing that. Whereas you can experiment with a used bus. You can convert your used bus into a mobile shop, a barbers shop, a mobile chiropractors office, a party bus and anything else that you can think of.
3. Depreciation: A new bus will depreciate faster than a used bus. The depreciation can be up to 30% in the first year of hitting the road. This is irrespective of the miles the bus has traveled. Why spend up to $100,000 on a new bus if its going to lose 1/3rd of its value in the first year. It sounds like bad news but its true. On the other hand a used bus has already gone through the depreciation process. It has been in use for several years and clocked thousands of miles on its odometer. Whatever is left of a new bus after being in service for more than a year is called a used bus. Sounds funny but is a fact. When you buy a used bus you buy the left over of a new bus. Hence you get what you pay for. Used buses for sale dont make you lose money. They are valuable asset and in investment that can give you recurring income for several years.

4. Savings on Insurance Premiums: Insurance premiums are based on the cost of the vehicle. Since you buy used buses for sale at a lesser price compared to new buses. You will pay less on insurance premiums on used buses. This means more money in your bank account. You can use this money for personal use or to further your business goals.
5. Savings on Registration Fee: Just like insurance premiums. registration fee is based on the price of the vehicle. If pay $100,000 for a new bus then you will have to pay more registration fee. Whereas if you pay $25,000 for a used bus then you pay less registration fee. This again puts more money into your bank account.
6. ROI: ROI is returns on investment. As you are paying less for a used bus, you will recover your principal amount faster compared to a new bus. Every dollar that you make after recovering your principal amount is pure gold a.k.a. pure profit. And since you are paying less premiums and registration fee you bank more money with used buses than with new buses.
7. Spare parts: If your new bus encounters an accident when on the road and breaks down. Then you will have to search for spare parts. Spare parts for new buses are not easily available in the market. You may have to import them. This means your bus will be sitting idle until you receive its spare parts. When importing, spare parts can take up to 6 months to get delivered. However, spare parts for popular models of used buses like Ford & Chevrolet are easy to source. If your used bus breaks down then you can easily find spare parts and get them back to work within a matter of days.
8. Availability: New buses are not readily available in the market. You will have to pre-order a new bus. And delivery can take up to 3 to 4 months. That means you cannot start your business and make money until you receive your new bus. However, used buses can be purchased online and delivered to your door step anywhere across the USA & Canada. You can start driving your used bus the moment they reach your home or office.
9. License: Many commercial buses require a commercial drivers license to operate them. First of all its a difficult process to acquire a commercial driving license. Once you get it, you will be stuck with the driver who owns it. But, used buses for sale are mostly Non-CDL. They dont require a commercial driving license. You can drive most small and mid sized used buses with a regular license.

There are several other benefits of buying used buses for sale that I may not be able to list in this article. However if you are convinced that used buses are the right option for your church or business then please contact Major Vehicle Exchange today. You can visit their website at the link mentioned above, shortlist the buses you like and then call their owner CHARLIE at 516-333-7483 today!!!

But if you drive it on a weekly, or monthly basis then you need a secondhand bus for sale. Moreover, new buses cannot customize. You don't want to mess with a new bus that you paid almost $100,000 for. Yet, preowned buses for sale are easy to customize. You can add and remove any part and equipment based on your need. Like the one mentioned above about changing the seating arrangement. You also need to know that a new bus will depreciate and lose almost 1/3rd of its value in the first year. Irrespective of the miles traveled. Why pay almost $100,000 on a new bus if it's going to lose its value. Whereas, used buses for sale have already gone through the depreciation process. And you pay for what you get. You never lose money with used buses for sale.

Since the used buses for sale are cheaper compared to new buses. You pay fewer insurance premiums and less registration fee. You see how easy it is to be a proud owner of a used bus. Used buses for sale can cost between $15,000 to $25,000 depending on their age and mileage. Compare with a new bus that can cost you up to $100,000.

There are several types and kinds of used buses for sale. You need to select a used bus that has less than 200,000 miles and one previous owner. The used bus should be less than 10 years of age. Your bus should have a diesel engine. But a bus with a gasoline engine can be $4000 to $8000 cheaper than a diesel engine bus. Your bus should have automatic transmission. Buses with manual transmission are a bit cheaper. It would be good if you can find a used bus that has less than 50,000 miles. Such buses will be more expensive compared to those with more miles. You should opt for used minibusses to get started. MInibuses are smaller in size. They are easy to park and maneuver through busy streets. Minibusses also called short buses or small buses. Have a seating capacity from 15 to 20 passengers. Some of them are also equipped with wheelchair lifts to cater to disabled passengers.

You need to keep in mind that used buses for sale have gone through a lot of wear and tear. On their mechanical and electrical equipment. They have gone through the depreciation process. A used bus rarely depreciates further. Such a vehicle will have a lot of electrical and mechanical defects. If you buy the used bus as-is from the owner, you will have to pay more to fix it. Even if you don't have the experience of fixing it. So, you can buy used buses for sale that're reconditioned from bumper to bumper. Been repainted and have like-appearance. Reconditioning or refurbishing a used bus is a complex process. It involves the inspection, repairing and replacement of more than 1000 parts in the bus. This increases the longevity of your used buses.

A used bus that is being sold as-is, can cost less than $5000. And a reconditioned or refurbished used bus can cost less than $25,000. It is worth paying extra and getting a vehicle that's certified ready to hit the road. Is inspected fit to use by the department of transportation experts. And is free from any mechanical or electrical defects. Such a used bus is affordable and will be with you for a very long time. You can also get extended warranty on your used buses. If you buy them from licensed and bonded used bus dealerships.

Beware that private owners will repaint their used buses and change their seats. Then they will list them for sale as a reconditioned bus. This is a bad practice and far from the truth. Always, buy reconditioned used buses for sale from licensed dealerships.
